Luxurious designs, a rich and sophisticated color scheme, glamorous crystals and sequins, modern floral displays…. all at a stunning venue, The Modern Honolulu.  What fun it was to design this wedding celebration for Elizabeth and Ed!   Each table was designed differently, yet all tables incorporated the same elements:  crystals, mirrors, sequins, roses and driftwood.   A unique collection of tables and chairs, along with textured linens and specialty chargers gave this event a very customized design.  Always a favorite of ours is the floating table top by Mood Event!

This nature inspired wedding blended in so naturally yet made a stunning visual impact  at the breathtaking Paul Mitchell Estate in Lanikai.     Tropical flowers along with textured foliage were intertwined with wood, moss, and stones to create an organic feel.  Living plants like succulents and ferns were incorporating into each design.  No two designs were alike to add a touch of whimsy and to truly give this wedding it’s own unique look.  Adding to the whimsical look was the use of different table sizes and styles.  Wood tables were mixed with tables covered in linens with natural fibers.   Wood benches were also mixed with chiavari chairs.  Guests had the option of dining under a tent at a table or under a wood canopy on cozy lounge chairs.  Custom wood placemats and copper table tops added depth and interest to the dining area.  So much detail was involved in this wedding!  It was truly an experience for each guest to wander throughout the exquisite estate and explore the countless decor details.

The bride and groom were married under a wood canopy with hanging orchid and driftwood strands. Stones and driftwood lined  the aisle with ferns and succulents “planted” into the curving stone border. Submerged orchids and driftwood gave the aisle a dramatic appearance.

A touch of color was introduced at the cocktail hour.  Warm golden brown orchids were the feature flower.

Very cool ocean inspired bouquets and tablescapes in the Winter/Spring 2012 issue of Pacific Weddings! We had fun creating our modern version of a beach chic wedding!

We designed this very fun and playful wedding last summer at a private estate on the North Shore of Oahu.  What made this wedding so fun and unique were the elements incorporated into the designs.  Natural elements like succulents, starfish, coral & driftwood were intertwined with florals for an organic and eclectic look, while the addition of mason jars and local flowers introduced a vintage and tropical feel to the designs.  The array of color and interesting textures made each design truly unique.  The floral colors focused on bold tropical shades of red, orange, and hot pink to contrast with the bride’s favorite shade of sea foam green, which we used for the ceremony and the reception through the fabric draping.   This wedding was quite memorable and such fun to design!

The ceremony canopy was created out of driftwood and accented with tropical flowers and succulents.

Each table displayed a unique design incorporating twisted grapewood, starfish, coral, succulents, and arrangements in mason jars.
