It was a spectacular day in February for this Lanikuhonua wedding!  We just love how the ceremony took place under the pavilion overlooking one of the most beautiful beaches on Oahu!  For Marina and Craig, it was all about the details.  Whimsical details give this classic wedding a personalized and playful look.

Marina’s bouquet was composed of blush mini calla lilies.

The ceremony area, draped with flowing white fabric, was absolutely gorgeous!  A beautiful job by Mood Event!

This nature inspired wedding blended in so naturally yet made a stunning visual impact  at the breathtaking Paul Mitchell Estate in Lanikai.     Tropical flowers along with textured foliage were intertwined with wood, moss, and stones to create an organic feel.  Living plants like succulents and ferns were incorporating into each design.  No two designs were alike to add a touch of whimsy and to truly give this wedding it’s own unique look.  Adding to the whimsical look was the use of different table sizes and styles.  Wood tables were mixed with tables covered in linens with natural fibers.   Wood benches were also mixed with chiavari chairs.  Guests had the option of dining under a tent at a table or under a wood canopy on cozy lounge chairs.  Custom wood placemats and copper table tops added depth and interest to the dining area.  So much detail was involved in this wedding!  It was truly an experience for each guest to wander throughout the exquisite estate and explore the countless decor details.

The bride and groom were married under a wood canopy with hanging orchid and driftwood strands. Stones and driftwood lined  the aisle with ferns and succulents “planted” into the curving stone border. Submerged orchids and driftwood gave the aisle a dramatic appearance.

A touch of color was introduced at the cocktail hour.  Warm golden brown orchids were the feature flower.

What a perfect location for this wedding that was inspired by the song “Under The Sea” from The Little Mermaid, my favorite Disney movie.   With a beautiful blue sky and the glistening ocean as a backdrop, this wedding will surely take one’s breath away!

Along the aisle we placed tall glass cylinders filled with water and glass orbs, some submerged and some floating.  Connecting the cylinders are bleached manzanita branches holding glass orbs and nautilus shells.  Aquamarine bottles of various sizes holding a glass orb filled with a coral rose add a punch of color.  Treasures of peach amaryllis and garden roses can be found tucked into the sea decor.  What fun Ariel would have at this wedding!   =)

Wow! A feature in Destination I Do! There were so many elements about this wedding that I loved… the custom dining canopies draped in gorgeous green silk, the jewel toned flowers, the installation of green orchids and crystals hanging over the dining table…. so much to love about this opulent tropical wedding!
