Founded in 2002 and based on the island of Oahu, Yvonne Design is a floral and event design studio dedicated to transforming ideas into beautiful, memorable experiences. We create custom floral and décor designs for a wide range of celebrations, including weddings, corporate events, intimate dinners, and special family occasions throughout the Hawaiian Islands.

Yvonne Chapman
Principal / Creative Director
Yvonne’s passion for flowers began early, growing up between her family’s two floral design studios in Washington. This foundation deepened during her studies at the University of Washington, where coursework in psychology shaped her understanding of how flowers engage the senses—sight, smell, and touch—while evoking memory, emotion, and meaningful experience. This perspective continues to guide her work, where artistry and feeling are seamlessly intertwined in each design.
Before founding Yvonne Floral Design in Hawaiʻi in 2002, Yvonne worked as a floral designer at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida. There, she created arrangements for a wide range of high-profile events and weddings, an experience that helped refine and define her distinctive style.
Ask anyone in the event industry about Yvonne and two words are almost always used: meticulous and perfectionist. She is unwavering in her attention to detail, ensuring every element is thoughtfully considered, and the result is consistently breathtaking.
When she isn’t designing or overseeing event installations, Yvonne can often be found outdoors—hiking, swimming, paddling, or spending time at the beach to take in sunrise or sunset. Alongside floral design, she also pursues other creative passions including styling, sketching, and hand lettering.
Robert Niece
Designer / Production Officer
Rob brings over 30 years of experience in the floral industry, with his career beginning in his early high school years. His first introduction to flowers was at “The Little Floral Shop” in Long Island, New York, where he learned the fundamentals of floral design. After four years there, he joined “Town & Country Flowers” in Manhasset, New York, where his true passion for flowers began to flourish.
A unique opportunity later brought Rob to Colorado, where he excelled in the event industry designing for “Bouquets.” He eventually made his way to Maui to pursue wedding floral design, and it was his wife, Christy, who encouraged the move to Oʻahu—lucky for us.
Rob’s commitment and knowledge of flowers gives Yvonne Design an edge, and we are truly blessed to have such a wonderful individual on our team!
